Reading to Stansted — the journey
Reading to Stansted is roughly 85–95 miles and commonly takes around an hour and three-quarters to two hours, typically via the M4, M25 and M11. Because it's a longer, busier route, careful timing matters — we plan your departure from live traffic so the distance never becomes a rush.

Fares & extra charges
We don’t use meters or surge pricing. The quote you see before booking is a fixed price for the journey, the vehicle and the details you give us, and it already includes the charges below where they apply:
- A £10 Stansted airport drop-off/pick-up charge is included in your quote, so the terminal access fee is never added afterwards.
- Journeys starting between 23:00 and 05:00 include a 15% night surcharge, shown in the quote before booking.
- On a long run, the comfort of the car matters — choose an executive saloon, estate or the six-seat V-Class to suit your party and luggage; the quote updates with your choice.
Airport waiting. Once your flight has landed you have 45 minutes of free waiting to clear immigration, customs and baggage reclaim and reach your chauffeur. If you need longer than that, waiting is charged at £1.00 per minute from the 46th minute, plus any terminal car-park charge your driver incurs while waiting — both are added to your fare and settled with your driver. Stansted is a long way — is the fare still fixed?
Yes. The price is agreed and fixed when you book, however the M25 and M11 behave on the day. We plan the timing around live traffic so you still arrive comfortably.
Will you track my flight back to Reading?
Yes — we monitor your inbound flight, move the pick-up to the actual landing time, and include complimentary waiting after you land.
Can you do overnight or very early Stansted flights?
Yes, we operate 24/7. A 15% night surcharge applies to journeys starting 23:00–05:00 and is always shown in your quote up front.
Which vehicle is best for a long transfer with lots of luggage?
For comfort and luggage on the longer run, the E-Class Estate or the six-seat V-Class are ideal; capacities are listed above, or call us for advice.

Journeys starting between 23:00 and 05:00 include a 15% night surcharge, and a drop within central London's charging zone adds the congestion charge; all of these are shown in your quote or explained in our terms before you travel.
