Reading to Gatwick — the journey
Reading to Gatwick is roughly 60–65 miles and usually takes around an hour and a quarter to an hour and three-quarters, depending on the M25. Because the M25 is unpredictable, we plan a sensible departure time using live traffic rather than leaving it to chance — so you're not caught out by a slow stretch near Heathrow or the M23 junction.
We collect you from your door and drop you at the correct terminal, North or South. On the way home we track your inbound flight, meet you after arrivals and look after your luggage to the car — so after a long flight there's nothing to think about but getting comfortable.

Fares & extra charges
We don’t use meters or surge pricing. The quote you see before booking is a fixed price for the journey, the vehicle and the details you give us, and it already includes the charges below where they apply:
- A £10 Gatwick airport drop-off/pick-up charge is included in your quote, so the terminal access fee is never added on afterwards.
- Journeys starting between 23:00 and 05:00 include a 15% night surcharge, shown in the quote up front — handy for very early Gatwick departures.
- Extra stops en route are priced transparently in the quote; add or remove them and the fare updates immediately.
Airport waiting. Once your flight has landed you have 45 minutes of free waiting to clear immigration, customs and baggage reclaim and reach your chauffeur. If you need longer than that, waiting is charged at £1.00 per minute from the 46th minute, plus any terminal car-park charge your driver incurs while waiting — both are added to your fare and settled with your driver. Do you cover both Gatwick terminals?
Yes — North and South. Tell us your terminal or flight number when booking and your chauffeur will take you to, and meet you at, the right one.
Is the M25 traffic my risk on a fixed fare?
No. The fare is fixed when you book. We plan the departure time around live traffic so you arrive in good time, and the agreed price doesn't change because the motorway was busy.
Can you do early-morning Gatwick departures?
Yes, 24/7. For pre-dawn flights we'll agree a pick-up time that gets you there comfortably; a 15% night surcharge applies to journeys starting 23:00–05:00 and is shown in your quote.
What if my inbound flight lands early or late?
We track your flight and move the pick-up to the actual landing time at no extra cost — a late or early plane never costs you more. After you land you then have 45 minutes' free waiting to clear passport control and baggage reclaim; if you need longer than that, waiting is charged at £1 per minute from the 46th minute, plus any terminal car-park charge, settled with your driver.
Which car should I choose for a family with luggage?
For bigger loads the E-Class Estate or six-seat V-Class carry considerably more than a saloon — see the capacities above, or call us and we'll advise.
Are there any charges on top of my quote?
Your quote is a fixed price for the journey and already includes the airport drop-off fee (where that airport charges one). After you land you have 45 minutes' free waiting; if you need longer, waiting is £1.00 per minute from the 46th minute, plus any terminal car-park charge your driver incurs — both settled with your driver. Journeys starting between 23:00 and 05:00 include a 15% night surcharge, and a drop within central London's charging zone adds the congestion charge; all of these are shown in your quote or explained in our terms before you travel.
