Reading to London City — the journey
Reading to London City is around 60 miles and, because the route runs toward and across London, journey time is more weather- and traffic-dependent than the western airports — commonly an hour and a quarter to around two hours. We plan the departure using live traffic so you reach the terminal in good time for a prompt City departure.
We collect you from your home, office or hotel and drop you at the terminal. For your return we track your inbound flight, meet you after arrivals in the East London Docklands terminal, and take care of your luggage to the car so you can get straight back to Reading.

Fares & extra charges
We don’t use meters or surge pricing. The quote you see before booking is a fixed price for the journey, the vehicle and the details you give us, and it already includes the charges below where they apply:
- There's no separate airport drop-off charge for London City in your quote — the fixed fare covers the transfer.
- Journeys starting between 23:00 and 05:00 include a 15% night surcharge, shown in the quote before you book.
- If your journey includes a drop within central London's charging zone, the congestion charge and a London surcharge are added to the quote and shown up front; London City Airport itself sits outside the central charging zone.
Airport waiting. Once your flight has landed you have 45 minutes of free waiting to clear immigration, customs and baggage reclaim and reach your chauffeur. If you need longer than that, waiting is charged at £1.00 per minute from the 46th minute, plus any terminal car-park charge your driver incurs while waiting — both are added to your fare and settled with your driver.
